Kind of like the Macarena, you can’t escape this trend, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to jump on the band wagon. Eyiiii.

I was lucky to work with some amazing artists and designers in college. Very lucky. Melissa is one of those talented people who never ceases to amaze me. It’s been a couple of years since I’ve slacked off at work to hear her scoopy dating stories but her blog does not disappoint. She is a daily DIYer and has some amazing craft and sewing ideas. I love the tote bags she recently whipped up. And that artwork on the wall! Pass me some of that talent, pa-lease.

I get to see Feist tonight. Actually, I get to see Feist tonight if Ryan can talk the ticket people into letting us have another pair of tickets by proving that we actually bought them with our credit card since we misplaced our original tickets that I gave to Ryan for his birthday on Thursday. Yeah, I kind of had a freak out moment last night and all of this morning and right now. I hope the ticket person is a girl and likes guys that look like David Duchovney.
Book: Elle Decor So Chic: Glamorous Lives, Stylish Spaces
My thoughts: This book was exactly what you would expect from the editors of Elle Decor- home tours of the uba rich filled with things nobody in the real world could afford. A $25,000 custom made couch? Of course! I must have it and what a steal of a deal! That being said, I still devoured each page and made it a personal goal to never, ever aspire to look like Donatella Versace or cover my entire house in gold. Overall I enjoyed every page of the book even if it was just to look at it and say, “Oh, so that’s what the word gaudy means.” I give it an 8 out of 10 and recommend it to interior design loving peops, celebrity junkies, and those looking to class up their homes with a little upper-east side style.
My favorite homes were those of David Salle, Ralph Lauren, and Sarah Jessica Parker.

PS You guys were supposed to discourage me from buying the cardigan not encourage my bad spending habits!

Happy birthday to my best friend in the whole wide world! Kelly is my fave for the following reasons:
-she let me stay with her for a whole week in high school and we watched made for TV Disney movies the whole time
-we’ve shared not only a queen but a twin bed on more than one occasion
-she rented the really bad Britney Spear’s movie Crossroads with me
-she married her high school sweet heart who I love
-she is the most frequent commenter on this blog
-she used to go with me to TCBY almost everyday
-she’s really good at impressions and does hilarious voices
-she always will tell me what the benefits of having a small chest are and gives me pep talks
-she wants to start a fan club for my family
-she loves the Olympics almost as much as I do and we made “I heart the Olympics” t-shirts together
-she thinks I’m way cooler than I really am
-one time when she broke up with a guy she promptly came to my house and we went to Target to buy office supplies together
-she used to have a furry white vest and to make me laugh she marched around in it and running tights
-even though I always beat her at Scattorgories she’s still always willing to play with me
-she wasn’t afraid to approach Anne Hathaway and NY and ended up hugging and dancing with her
Oh my gosh, this list could go on forever. I’m cracking up just thinking about all the memories I have with you Kel. I love you and miss you and I hope you have a fantastic birthday!

Conversation with myself in the car yesterday after pining over this gem of a cardigan for over two weeks now:
Should I buy the cardigan? I don’t know, you’ve been thinking about it for a while now. But I have like 10 cardigans already. But I don’t have a white short sleeve one and it’s so cute. What would I wear it with? Like everything, what wouldn’t it go with? But I really don’t want to pay for shipping. It’s really not that much. Would it really make you happy? I don’t know, the model looks pretty darn happy. Is it really worth it? I would just look really cute in it but nobody else would probably notice it and who do I try to impress anyway? I try to impress Ryan. But if you sport this little number he’s just going to be focusing on how you bought another new item of clothing and wondering how much it cost instead of thinking about how good you look. Yeah, you’re probably right.
Yet I’m still thinking about it today. I’m guessing my indecisiveness will come in handy and by the time I decide to actually buy it, it won’t be available anymore. What is it with cardigans? I just can’t get enough. I’m even wearing one as I type this. Oh the insanity!
