Today I’m bringing you a little double deuce list action. Kapow! First up is a list from my sister Gina. If I had to pick from a line-up of lists which one came from someone that is related to me, and if I got it wrong one of the lists would get the death penalty, I would 100% know that this one came from my sister. It just has Bellessa girl written all over it. I’m loving 6, 7, and 9. Interesting tidbit: when Gina was younger she would answer the phone by singing Jingle Bells.
1. Peaches with juice so sweet it dribbles down the chin
2. The Olympic Spirit
3. The multi purpose wonderful angled make-up brush

7. free shipping on internet purchases
8. a bicycle with flowers in the basket
9. the happy feeling when you finish organizing a drawer or closet
10. Fresh sliced tomatoes with a sprinkle of salt
Lastly, we have the delightful Megan’s list. Interesting tidbit #2: Honey Bunches of Oats just came out with a new cereal called Just Bunches. All my dreams are coming ture.
1. Strawberry Honey Bunches of Oats Cereal-I’ve eaten this almost
every single morning for breakfast since the beginning of summer and
have yet to get tired of it.
2. The Movie Waitress
3. Francesca’s Collection Boutique
4. Loreal Paris Touch-On Color For Eyes & Cheeks in Cashmere Rose-

Sadly, these two lists conclude the 2 week, jam packed, non-stop action, list love segment of my blog. But don’t be dismayed, if you didn’t get your list to me and you still want to participate I will gladly post any new ones that come in. Spread the love.
I’m so glad Karen sent me over her list because then we got to talking about the Olympics together and some of her emails brought me to tears I was laughing so hard. I’m slightly ashamed to admit that the Olympic spirit wasn’t always guiding me and my competiveness against China got a little out of control. When I expressed this to Karen she said,”Can’t you imagine the Chinese gov’t translating this into marketing material? Here’s the spin: Go Communism! We win the most medals! And they’re all gold! Suck it, democracy!” That’s when I promptly sent her the second half of my friends forever necklace.
My completely superficial list of 10 Things that Make Me Happy:

10. French Macaroons from Lauderee
(our set-up during the entire two weeks- mattress in the living room, slightly shady reception, the works)
I feel like an Olympic failure. The last week of the Olympics I barely posted about them and they’ve now been over for 4 days now and I still haven’t come up with the promised Olympic roundup. I’m still in the denial stage of grief. WHY, I ask the universe, does everything have to happen all at once and then dissipate so quickly? I’m having a hard time coming up with words that can describe the last two weeks of ultimate goodness. For some reason, “They were cool” and “They were good” just isn’t cutting it. So all I’m going to say is they were so great that things were thrown at the TV, and tears were constantly streaming down my face, and I felt more patriotic then somebody dressed up like Uncle Sam on the 4th of July, and I jumped on my bed out of excitement, and I sacrificed precious sleep for you, and my stomach was in knots for the athletes and I felt like I knew each one of them personally. Vancouver or bust my friends.
(and while we’re at it…)
Dear NBC,
I understand that your inspirational Olympic moments broadcaster, Jim McKay, is no longer with us. I cannot tell you enough how much his presence and his segments were missed at these games. So, NBC, I propose that you hire me to thoughtfully construct these segments so that Jim’s memory will live on. I can start at your earliest convenience.
Sincerely,
Melanie (I don’t have a broadcaster’s voice but you can dub over it and I won’t get offended) Blodgett
Today’s list comes from the sweet Brittney who happens to have the best last name on the planet. Her last name actually means beautiful and I know this because it used to be my last name. Now my last name means glove maker. I guess that’s the price of love. Plus, I know the last name fits Brittney a lot better than it fit me.

My bedroom right now is far from tranquil and minimilist. If I had to give it a name it would be Mr Hodgy Podgy McCramsalot. I think that’s why these spaces are calling my name. That, and the fact that I would love it if my life resembled a Snuggle commercial without the creepy talking teddy bear.

Well hello Monday and hello to a new week of lists. Today’s list is brought to you from the delightful Kerri who was one of the first people that commented who wasn’t a family member so she’s basically my favorite. If you want to get on my good side, just comment on my blog and tell me how awesome I am. You’ll get a birthday card from me for the rest of your life. Kerri couldn’t just limit her list to ten so you get an bonus 2 items on the list today! After looking at all these lists my list is up to about 200 happy things.
The List:

9. Lots of flip-flops!

11. Disney Sing Alongs!
12. Sex and the City. Need I say more?

I know, I know, three posts in one day is a little overkill. I just have a few comments to make about the Olympics.
- My family thinks I look like Allyson Felix. That’s funny, the last time I checked I wasn’t black nor did I have the flatest stomach known to man and chicken legs.
- The US is kind of sucking it up in track and field. I was about to turn off the tv when both the women and men dropped the baton. Practice much?
- Jeremy Wariner is kind of a jerk. Did you see the interviewers face after Jeremy got mad at him? That was priceless. I’m very happy about the 1-2-3 finish, especially the diving action at the end.
- Did you see the latest medal count? What’s up now China!
Happy Friday. Stay tuned next week for another week of lists and an official ‘best of the Olympics’ post.

If you haven’t heard by now, I have a best friend and her name is Kelly. Unfortunately we only get to see each other about once a year. When we grow up our plan is to buy houses next to each other, wear matching sweatsuits and watch reality shows and eat bon-bons while our kids are at school. Kelly called me this week and announced that she was going to be making a surprise visit to D-town. This will be the best weekend of my life.
