Want to see a some photos of my oatmeal colored apartment? I’m being wordy and spilling my style resolutions over at Tea for Joy today.
For some reason I spotted a lot of fashion loves this week. I guess I need to go shopping. Just kidding Ryan. Just kidding.

I want to be Betty. That is all.
Usually I’m not really an Elle Decor kind of girl. I think it’s the fact that I would rather pay off the entirety of law school then buy a gold plated coaster, for the same price. But after seeing this image in the March issue I take it all back. Please forgive me Elle and let me tear this page from your magazine. I pinky swear I won’t ever bad mouth you again.
When I saw that Kirsten Grove was offering free style diagnoses I had to jump on the band wagon. I feel like my style can be all over the place so I’m glad you could cram it all into one sentence. And it is spot on.
Melanies’s Style- Eclectic mix of Clean Industrial, Traditional and Vintage.
Mixing old and new with soft and pure color tones but not forgetting colorful statements. Unafraid of trends but keeping with the classics. Rooms are magazine worthy but comfy and clean.

Here’s me wishing you a Happy V-Day weekend full of love (what else).
XOXO,
You Are My Fave
I’ve been listening and dancing to the The Submarines lately. You know who they are, their song is on all the i-Phone commercials. I just found out that they are a husband and wife team and that just makes me like them even more. It also gives me a new life plan. Ryan has amazing musical talent (as evident by our Christmas video) but I’m kind of lacking. And by lacking I mean when I sing it sounds manish and off key. But this fact is not hindering me from deciding that we are now giving up on law school and forming a band. I’m going to be in charge of keyboard, tamborine and dancing. Ryan will take care of the rest. Success will be had when our song is chosen for the soundtrack of a CW show. And I become the new it girl. And I get on a Gap commerical. Realistic? You betcha.
I love this dress and kind of wish it was around when I got married so I never have to look back and realize that I might be the bride who made her bridesmaids wear a dress that they’ll never wear again. Ever. Yep, I’m thinking I might fall into that category.
Of course this dress could be worn for more occasions than a wedding. Like blogging in my apartment.

I just think this one is funny because of Ryan’s super cheesy smile in the background and I apparently didn’t think fixing my hair (or looking cute at all) was important that day. the grand prize winner
Last year we hosted a Valentine’s sugar cookie and cupcake decorating party. We had everyone submit their best decorating feat into a contest and then all voted anonymously. Little did they know that the grand prize was a photo of lovely photo of Ryan in a horrendous frame. It was regifting at it’s finest moment.
