Blog Party Music Week is my fave

Jackie thought of the great idea to have a week full of good tunes. Everyday Jackie, Maggie and I will be posting a few of our favorite songs that go along with a theme. Today’s theme is Happy-Go-Lucky songs-Songs that put a smile on your face and can totally turn your mood around. My picks were chosen based on the fact that when my i-pod is in shuffle mode, I never skip them.

- I Believe in a Thing Called Love by The Darkness (the video is completely ridiculous)
- Falling by Ben Kweller (if you haven’t heard this yet, you’re welcome)
- Swimming Pool by the Submarines
- Fans by Kings of Leon
- America by Neil Diamond (American patriotism at it’s finest)

    Free by Donovan Frankenreiter and Jack Johnson is definitely one of my feel-good songs, especially in the summer.

    Anything by Beyonce is pretty good for bringing out killer Liz-Lemon-esque dance moves. Especially Crazy in Love or Upgrade You! Also, Michael Jackson – Madonna – Prince dance parties, so fun!

    I have always loved “I Believe in a Thing Called Love”- great music video. I checked out the rest of your list and definitely think we could be music buddies. Some of my all-time plays from my ipod are Corinne Bailey Rae, Brazilian Girls and Jamiroquai. When my hubby is around I listen to alot of techno music- I’m learning to like it :)
