Agreed. Since when can a delicious treat also be used to make people feel like they are trendy or trashy? My goodness, people. YAY FOR CUPCAKES FOREVER! I don’t like cake, but I will always and forever love the tiny joy brought to me in cupcake form.
End mini-rant.

Macarons are the new cupcakes.
I agree about the cupcake stance–how can portable cake be ‘out’? Not gonna happen. LOVE the towers!!!

Seriously, how can anything so heavy on the butter and sugar go out of style? Yumminess is not a fad. I think the second picture is gorgeous. It looks like a castle I want to storm.

I think cake “fashion” is just the wedding industry’s way of staying relevant. They’ve been telling us cupcakes are the way to go… now we don’t have to buy a magazine to hear that cupcakes are the hot thing. So to make us buy a magazine, they say that cupcakes are out, so we’ll rely on them to tell us what is IN.
Silly, the whole thing. I’ll have another cupcake, please.
