Beauty products are my fave (by Jill)

Confession time – do you secretly like staying at a friend’s house and then rummaging through their beauty products in the morning to try new things and rejoice when they have expensive shampoo in their shower? Let me tell you, Jill’s house is the most fun to stay at. She is the queen of beauty products. Luckily for us who might be slightly beauty challenged, she’s made a list of her top ten faves. And her enthusiasm shines right through.

I love beauty and health products! My good friend once commented to never take me to the cosmetic section in the mall because I will raid all of their free samples. I also like to read up on products in magazines or reviews on the web. If you have a question about a beauty product, there’s a pretty good chance I’ve tried it!

Some of my fave beauty/health products (in no particular order)

1.) Women’s Ultra Mega Active Vitapak from GNC. If you’re like me, you don’t have time to mess around with 6 different vitamins and supplements. Which ones did I take, which ones didn’t I take? The reason I love these little packets, is because it has your vitamins in it, your energy enhancer, calcium, conjugated linoleic acid, and l-carnitine. Take one pack in the morning and you are done.

2.) Rhonda Allison Beta Green Tea Cleanser: A friend recently gave me some Rhonda Allison products and I fell in love with them. This cleanser in particular with its fresh, clean scent and its healing elements. It leaves your skin feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

3.) Lancome Flash Bronzer Airbrush: This is one of my favorite self-tanners. Over the last few years I’ve realized that my skin is sensitive to the sun and I needed to find another way to get a little color. I searched high and low for a great self tanner. I’ve probably tried about 10-15 different ones, but found this one to be the best. It goes on as a spray, which you just rub in (works best after exfoliating), and it literally dries within minutes. The color doesn’t show up right away, but within a few hours you have a completely natural looking, streak free tan. Definitely better than those harsh rays from the sun.

4.) Exfoliating Towels: If you’ve never tried these, go out and buy one. They are very cheap, easy to use, and don’t make you feel like you’re exfoliating with a coral rock. I also love how great they lather up body soap.

5.) Olay Ultra Moisture Body Wash with Shea Butter: The perfect soap free, gentle body wash to use with your exfoliating towel.

6.) Clarisonic Skincare Brush: I got this for Christmas this year and I love it! What your electric toothbrush does for your teeth, is what the Clarisonic does for your skin. It was actually invented by the makers of Sonicare.

7.) If you don’t get your 30 servings a day of fruits and vegetables, or eat cardboard for breakfast, I suggest Benefiber. Have you guys ever tried this stuff? Simply mix in 2 tsp 3 times a day to your water. It dissolves instantly and gives you that extra fiber in your diet, with absolutely no weird taste, or thick paste like substance! Definitely a great product for keeping the inside of you healthy!

8.) John Frieda Luminous Color Glaze/ Clear Shine: Good for all hair shades, colored or not. This clear color glaze gives leaves your hair shiny and silky. Since it doesn’t contain color, it’s perfect for every shade. You can use this daily, or as a once-a-week shine surge treatment. You can even put it on dry, unwashed hair and leave it for 20 minutes, then go do some laundry. Now that’s what I call multi tasking!

9.) Estee Lauder Double Wear Light Foundation: Here is perfect example where you can take advantage of free samples. Go to the Estee Lauder counter and ask them for a free sample of this foundation. They will check your skin tone and give you one of 3 colors (Intensity 1.0-3.0). The reason I love this foundation is because it is light weight, it stays in place, and best of all, it has 5% titanium dioxide in it, which is a great SPF!

10.) Ear plugs: None of these products will do you any good if you aren’t getting enough sleep. Experts say typically it isn’t the noise that keeps people awake, it’s the inconsistency in the noise. If my neighbor’s dog would just bark all night long instead of every hour, I would be fine! Wearing earplugs will help you get those 8 hours of sleep you need!

Don’t you think Jill should make a career of being on infomercials? Every company would want her to review their product.
