Plan a spot to meet up with your bikes. Hand each team a list of items they must find and snap a photo of. A pigeon, a rollerblader, a fire hydrant, someone who should be wearing a shirt but isn’t. You get the idea. When the list is complete (or there’s a time limit that’s been reached) return to the starting area and enjoy in some popsicles and lemonade. Run the cameras over to a one hour photo shop and enjoy the funny shots. Reward the winners with these sweet bike bells.

I was browsing my archives (did I really post some of that stuff?) and I realized that I talk about garlands in about 50% of the posts. I’m not even kidding. Then I looked at my Flickr faves and on every single page there was at least one photo of a garland. I think it’s love.
Yep, it’s love. Are you convinced?
I really love summer. Just thinking about it makes my legs and arms start moving really fast in a kind of excited running man type of dance. This summer kind of got off to a rocky start so now I’m trying to cram as much summertime activity into the second half of the season. I’m taking my Polaroid cameras with me to capture the best moments. This might be a lengthy list. Summer’s just that good.
PS If you have any requests for summertime faves, request away. I’ll do my best.

Just a hint for my upcoming birthday in ten months. See more of Stephanie’s birthday brunch here.
If the unthinkable happened and I had to decide on only one dessert I could eat for the rest of my life, I would go with these cupcakes and homemade ice cream.
PS I just realized that the only recipes I ever post about are chocolate desserts. It’s clearly visible what my diet consists of.
I sort of threw a baby shower a couple weeks ago. I say sort of because due to a family emergency, I wasn’t actually able to be there for the day of the shower. So the actual throwing of the party came more from Lisa, a woman who rivals Martha for her domestic abilities, and Natalia, who’s been mentioned here before because of her pure awesomeness. Luckily they took lots of photos to share with me and due to the numbness of my fingers from folding paper cranes, I felt like I was there in spirit.
All of the guests chose an iron-on transfer and created a little onesie for the little babe.
Didn’t it turn out so cute and summery? I hoping for some more babies so I can throw another one.

Mrs. McCrafty has instructions on how to create pretty flower pieces up on her site. They actually look doable unlike some of her crazy projects.
