Believing that my apartment's current lack of coolness can be transformed is my fave

Apartment Therapy is another one of those resources that is impossible to edit down. Every tour does give you hope that even the ugliest of apartments can be transformed into something fantastic. Just look at all these goodies.

Oohh I will dream of these rooms tonight. I have been coveting the Eames Fiberglass chairs for a while now - a rocker for our nursery is on its way. Now for the rest of our apartment... I will have to dream.

From the looks of your post, you like shelves a lot. You can get removable shelves at Ikea for about $10 - $15 a shelf. Buy a few of those babies, decorate with your favorite books and other items and you've got a fantastic wall!

I've been on a decorating and/or organizing kick in my drab apartment. Thanks for the inspiration!

I looove the last two. Wonder what the paint color is? If only I could find an apartment with a fireplace like that. I'm just seeing icky brass flat ones from the 80s.

Le sigh.

I love Apartment Therapy. It always puts a bright spot in my day. In Chicago, a girl in my building was a finalist for one of the small space contest!

The title of this post COMPLETELY sums up my state of mind these past few weeks. I may not be able to change that terrible-shade-of-beige carpeting or the coordinated wall color, but darn it- I will spruce it up somehow!

Love these photos.
