This love card is just the right kind of mushy.
Hopefully your weekend is filled with such mush. I’ll see you Monday for a little surprise. Emphasize the little. I’m not giving away bars of gold.
Just a little something that will be in my future house. When this magical house comes into being, I’m going to have a massive house warming party with brownie sundaes (they sound really good right now). Save the date, 1/28/20.
Today my sister Karen is posting the last of her 365 slow cooker recipes. Head on over to her blog and give her a congratulatory fist bump. And maybe tell her her next project should be sending her little sister awesome packages for an entire year.
Saturday we went out looking for an open space to take some polaroids. We ran into this striped van a half block from our place and I let out a little hip hip hooray. When we were done we let go of the balloon hoping that a lonely soul would find it and take it as a sign of love to come. Oh, and I got bangs again. This time they’re thick. I kind of feel like Punky Brewster.
I’ve been sick all week. Like mopey sick where I start feeling sorry for myself mostly because I have too much time to contemplate all the things in my life I haven’t accomplished. But then yesterday I got the happiest news that turned the whole week around. So I’m continuing that happy feeling with a list of awesome things.
1. when a movie you actually want to see is playing on the airplane
2. Milky Way Midnights
3. the piece of pizza with the really big bubble
4. the movie Hoosiers
5. Olympic t-shirts at Target
6. when someone has a really loud and unique laugh in an audience and it makes everybody else laugh when they hear it
7. when there is a cardigan category in an online shop
8. crossing things off of your to do list
9. watching someone win both showcases on The Price is Right
10. the feeling you have on the night before a fun vacation
Did you ever notice when you used to watch Family Feud that there were always four actual family members and then one random to every team? It was like mom, dad, son, daughter and “crazy cousin Jimmy” who was actually someone they picked off the street. I would have been honored to be the random one if I had been a contestant at Emily’s 80′s Family Feud party complete with an official light up board. Wait for it…
Awesome right? I especially love how their guests got so into it with their costumes. See more details on Emily’s blog.
Wouldn’t it be fun to have a little French party? You could invite your friends with a handwritten note on the back of these Paris cards by Darling Clementine making sure to let them know to wear a striped shirt. Then you could serve crepe pouches (don’t you love?) and have a cheese spread as pretty as this one from Sunday Suppers. The soundtrack could be Carla Bruni. My only fear of throwing this party is that Ryan would request to reenact and sing every song from the musical Les Mis. I guess I could handle it if he let me be Eponine.
