I’ve been sharing some posts on Inspired to Share this week in case you wanted to honk and wave.
Summer stripes and floral are fading. Bring on the herringbone, faire isle and tweed.
Since my fave contestant from PR this season is from Denver, I naturally googled him to see if I could figure out where he lives in this town of mine. I didn’t find his place but I did find that they have a screening party with him in presence every Thursday at the Beauty Bar. So I called my most dedicated PR fan friends and we curtailed are booties there last week. What we got was glittered walls, Mondo’s entourage, a PR cheering section and a handshake from the man of the hour.
Let me explain… I had just taken a photo of my friend and Mondo and before I could hand her back the camera and pose for one myself, he was distracted by some other fan. I just jumped in by him and told her to take one anyway. I look like a stalker so therefore I find it hilarious. I actually had just told him something super lame like, “I love your ensemble tonight.”
Live in Denver? You should meet us there for the finale! It should be pretty fantastic.
This week has been filled with good piece of news on top of good piece of news. And I’m not talking I found a dime on the sidewalk good news, like REALLY good news. A new job! A new baby (not mine, more on this later)! Mondo in a bow tie! A kid named J’Romeo! So basically the best week ever. Let’s wrap it up with a little list, shall we?
Things you won’t find on YAMF:
- Kei$ha
- videos of me skateboarding
- references to Two and a Half Men
- NASCAR updates
- cherub statues
- hot buys from KMart
- reviews of fantasy/sci-fi movies
- a taxidermy tutorial
- the claim that vanilla is better than chocolate
- clown/jester decor
I hope the weekend brings more goodness. I want to pass it out like cotton candy.
I’ve been lucky twice in my life. Once I guessed how many Tootsie Rolls were in a cup and won it and then a couple weeks ago I entered a giveaway on Jennifer’s blog and am now the lucky owner of a Quill clutch from Proud Mary. It’s just the right size and the fabric is hand woven in collaboration with artisans in developing countries. Don’t you love the ethnic-modern prints?
I’m actually going to eliminate my first lucky moment, I don’t even like Tootsie Rolls.
Whisker Graphics is home to everybody’s favorite divine twine but did you know the shop also features printables and paper goods? Wouldn’t those scallop circles be a cute strung as a garland? I need to start clearing room in my party box.

Just looking at Summer and Daniel’s job titles are enough to convince anyone they’re cool. A historian and baker? It sounds like a Cary Grant movie.
Secret to being cool: Never forgetting to be ourselves. And having ridiculous dance moves.

While we’re on the subject of shimmery things, this store display from Confetti System shimmies like nothing else could ever shimmer. Ryan, please don’t be surprised if you walk in the door today and your eyes catch on fire from an explosion of shimmery decor.
