I’m getting a little choked up writing this. I just got to spend three days with my family and even though I had to fight off my six-year-old niece to do it, most of the time was filled holding baby Lucas. He is the sweetest baby I’ve ever met and he was meant to be part of our family.
We celebrated his arrival and adoption with a shower on Saturday. I couldn’t have done it without the help of my sister and nieces (one of which took these amazing photos for me, she’s fourteen!). The theme was based off of Lucas’ nursery that is painted a pretty avocado green and decorated with animals. I really loved how everything came together, my favorite part being the mantle with the posters and animals with party hats. The pretty cluster of lanterns and Lokta paper mobiles may have come in a close second.
Come back tomorrow for part two. There may be a cheeseball involved.
