I’m so happy to be a part of the latest issue of Nonpareil Magazine. My talented friend Natalia and I collaborated to create this party scene and the lovely Sarah captured it with her camera. It was all inspired by fashion designer Zac Posen – more specifically, his bold Spring 2011 line. We had fun playing with pattern, pleats and bows.
We decided to steer away from floral centerpieces since the fabric pattern was so heavy so we used mini cakes to line the table.
A place for guests to tuck their well wishes into and pleated invitations designed by Natalia.
A close-up of one of the tiny cakes (with a tiny stand to match) and a pretty paper mobile from Haru works as a seating chart.
My favorite detail might have been the favors. Ashley, from Etsy shop Wendy and Peter, created felt bow clips for the girls and bow ties for the boys. We attached them to a fill-in-the-blank labels offering the recepient an idea of where they could wear it to – like book club, a picnic or laser tag.
