I’ve felt so defeated lately. Just when I didn’t think things could get much worse, the doctor uttered these words to me last week, “Please stop eating chocolate,” (I don’t remember if she actually said please but I’d like to believe she at least broke the news politely).
For most people this wouldn’t be that big of a deal but I eat chocolate EVERY SINGLE DAY, even if it’s just a handful of chocolate chips. To stop myself from completely caving, I made a non-chocolate dessert on Sunday and thought it would fit right in for a spring party because it’s light, berry-y and easy to make pretty. In my family, we call it berries on a cloud, but the technical term is pavlova. Martha has a lot of variations that you can find here. If you decide to make it, please promise me you’ll go with a chocolate variety, in the memory of all that is good and now is forbidden. Thank you.
