Hey, I’m back. Kind of. If you don’t follow my twitter or are not one of my five dedicated fans, you probably weren’t aware that my site got hacked. Wait, that’s not right. The server my site was hosted on got hacked. And everything got deleted. On their website they say they back up the files every night but that is a blatant lie. And so I cried. Then my programmer said she could get things restored within a day or two. I was hopeful. Then she had a family emergency. And so I cried. Then I turned to another programmer and she was on the ball and got things up again but there are definitely still some kinks to work out and all the comments are gone and the last year of archives too. And so I cried. I know I’m not a big blogger but you work on something for three + years then see it all get deleted and try not to cry.
My weekend will be dedicated to copying and pasting the last year of posts from Google Reader and listening to some angry girl rock. Yep, Alanis and me will become super tight this weekend.
Come back next week where I’ll be posting regularly. It will be your fave. Promise.
PS You can still find me over here.

My dear friend mustard yellow recently introduced me to dusty pink and we hit it off right away. We’re now planning a girl’s night out for the latest Twilight movie. Just kidding, I hate Twilight. Sorry you guys, you’ll have to go elsewhere for your shirtless Rob Pattinson pics.

I would have never thought to restore an cabin from the 1890s and then build a modern addition on to it (I can hardly look past gross carpet) but Calder and Starr did just that and the results are stunning. I’m kind of dying over the polished cement floors, the white stone and the wall of windows in the bedroom.
Would you ever go for such a sparse and clean look? I’m not sure I could control my clutter tendencies.

I’m not a handbag hoarder but put one in cognac leather and I’m sold. See also: boots and belts.

So these blogs aren’t spanking brand new but they’re recent additions to my reader and I’ve become instantly hooked. I love when that happens.

Odessa May
Looking through all of Jennie’s archives was my super distraction source yesterday. She knows how to curate the heck out of lovely finds and delivers it in the style equivalent to a brown paper package tied with twine. Plus she’s a swell crafter.

Katie’s Pencil Box
Katie is super stylish, knows how to work a camera (she made me want to go to the fair despite my memories of throwing up on the Zipper) and throws fun celebrations. I want to live in her blog.

Emmadime
I love Emma’s slightly off kilter style and the fun energy she brings to her blog. Her lovely lady series is always a winner.
Now off you go to procrastination city.

I just got the happy news that a friend is engaged so what do I automatically do? Start an inspiration board of course. Her only request is no mustaches on a stick. Totally doable. A pretty cake spread? Also totally doable. If that’s what the bride wants of course. I should probably make myself a note that says, “Remember, this isn’t your second wedding.” Just kidding Lashley.

Just a couple polaroids from a little trip we made last weekend to the charming town of Manitou Springs. While we were walking up and down the main street I tried to convince Ryan that we needed to move there and open an ice cream shop. He reminded me they didn’t have a Target. Plan scrapped.
It’s still summer! Have a good one.

I’m so excited that we’ll finally have a room for guests in our new home (let’s hope the lack of this was the reason we never get visitors). I’m planning on getting new fluffy towels, nice linens and fun soaps and such. I found this wooden box at a thrift store and thought it would make the perfect midnight snack box to put on the bedside table.
First I created a label from Pinhole Press with a polaroid I had taken. Then I filled it with my favorite local goodies: Boulder Canyon chips, Izze Sparkling Juice, Chocolove mini bars (the dark chocolate and orange peel is life changing) and packets of Justin’s Nut Butter to spread on crackers. I’m surprised I didn’t have to restock before I got around to taking photos. You want to visit now don’t you?
Pinhole Press is a YAMF sponsor but I would love their pretty photo products even if they weren’t. If you are interested in sponsorship opportunities, please email me.
