I made a list of things I want yesterday and these party kits from Mimi’s Circus topped it. You think I’m kidding about the list but I’m not. I like to be prepared when somebody tells me they want to give me a gift. Usually that person is me. Treat yo self.

I’m in love with these cards from The Black Apple. They combine my love of pretty illustrated wreaths and hand lettered typography. We’ve got ourselves a win win here folks.
Check out some of my non-YAMF posts:

It’s impossible for me to walk by a soft pretzel stand and not buy one so when I came across this recipe for pretzel tots from A Cozy Kitchen I pulled out my mixer and preheated the oven.

Since I like to turn everything into a dessert, I made some pumpkin cream cheese frosting to dip the salty treat in. I simply added some pumpkin spice Coffee Mate to the basic cream cheese frosting recipe (half cream cheese, half butter, powdered sugar).

If you wanted to serve these as a party snack, I like the idea of packaging them in printed glassine bags. I just sent these ones through my printer, no design skills required.
Time to spread the leftover frosting on graham crackers for my daily pumpkin flavor quota.

My official goal for fall is to purchase a hunting jacket (I aim high). The only question now is do I go for the crushed Jr Mint buttons or the suede elbow patches? Or should I just bedazzle my own elbow patches?

Holy pretty! These new scarves from Snoozer Loser need to be added to my fall uniform. The orchid/gold combo is pretty killer.
I have a new gig writing at The New Home Ec where I get to write about fun things like:
Cool ways to decorate your pumpkin this year (I’m going to try the polka dot one)
Wallpaper that wows
This cardboard fort is seriously cool
An ode to crepe paper (the ice cream pinata is so rad!)

Alright weekend, let’s do this.

Next week my little nephew Lucas will be turning one. Since I can’t be there for the celebration, I volunteered to make the invitations. Lucas’ favorite color (for real) is yellow so I started with a simple stripe but then it looked too plain so I added his happy little face adorned with a party hat topped with a mini yarn pom. When they were drying I kept on looking at my table and laughing. Aren’t they funny? Happy birthday little buddy.
Speaking of Lucas, my sister shared her family’s story yesterday. It always makes me cry.
I printed the invitations with the epic letterpress tool from Lifestyle Crafts. Because I like you, use the code FAVE and get 20% their products anytime. This post is not sponsored, I just genuinely like their product.

Something comes over me at the change of all seasons where I hate everything in my closet and want to start fresh. Right now I’m seeking fall fashion inspiration from Weronika of Raspberry and Red. She’s got the whole effortless thing down while I’m still struggling to get the don’t wear yoga pants when you’ve never done yoga thing down.
Also, did I mention Weronika is only 16?! Sorry that I have to be the one to deliver that blow to your self esteem.

I was inspired by Joslyn’s ventures in necklace making and made a couple of my own this weekend (as a break from copying and pasting). I started on the easy and inexpensive end of the scale with wooden beads randomly strung on cotton cord (I would suggest getting leather if you wanted to try it). Seriously, a preschool level project but I’m happy to have a new accessory for fall.
Thank you for your kind response to my hacking issues. While I was writing that post I thought that nobody would actually read it so thank you for letting me pout.
