The official start of YAMF’s Project Holiday 2011 doesn’t start until next Monday but in case you’re prepping holiday gifts this weekend I thought I’d share this easy idea, a tin of hot chocolate with peppermint spoons.

Personalizing a store bought tin of hot chocolate is easy, just cover with wrapping paper and stick on a label. I ordered these cute ones from Pinhole Press. For the peppermint spoons, melt white chocolate over a double boiler than stir in crushed up candy cane. While the chocolate is still hot, dip in wooden spoons than let dry on a piece of wax paper. Wait until the chocolate hardens to package up and deliver. A perfect little gift for neighbors.
