It doesn’t take much to make me cry these days but string together a bunch of clips from past Olympics and cue a pump-up song to go along with it, and you’ve got a sobbing pregnant woman on your hands. Thank you Olympics, I’ll be seeing you in 148 days.

PS Aren’t these posters rad? They were created by British artists for the upcoming games. Read more about them on Creative Review and buy them here.

Also, I’m pretty certain baby Blodgett needs to be sporting this come August

Oh Melanie! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Olympics–to the point of humming the Olympic song year round, every year. Thanks for sharing the posters! It’d be such a sneaky way to enjoy a bit of the olympics in my own quiet–not super crazy kind of way.

Funny how emotional we get when pregnant. I would cry at a particular bank commercial about a guy who decorated the nursery as a surprise for his pregnant wife. Every.single.time I saw it on tv.

Oh, and a trailer for the Toronto International Film Fest that year. Every.single.time.

    It’s sweet…

Darn you kb! I had to pause my Tivo’d Project Runway All-Stars to have a good cry watching that YouTube video.

And good new Melanie: it takes a while for the insane sobbing to go away after you have the baby! Mine is 6 months old and I still cry almost daily over thing I see on TV!

Two things. One: I’m thisclose to buying the top right poster. Two: gymnastics. GYMNASTICS!!! There is no better summer activity than sitting on the couch with a big bowl of watermelon and watching gymnastics.

I love the Olympics so so so much, and so does my husband, thank goodness! They make me ridiculously happy, and I definitely get all teary-bleary-eyed many times during each Olympics.

I love the olympics! I still have the ending montage from the 2008 Olympics on my dvr and may have watched it and cried today. There is just something so inspirational and wonderful about the Olympics. I find it very hard to like people that have no affection towards the Olympics.

I live close to Vancouver and I’ve gotta say, the atmosphere during the olympics was INCREDIBLE. It’ll be exciting to watch the summer olympics (gymnastics!)
