filling easter baskets is my fave

March 12, 2013

Easter is less than 3 weeks away! I’m excited to play Easter Bunny for the first time this year so today I put together basket ideas for both (little) boys and girls.

Most of the items are from one of my favorite shops for cute toys, My Sweet Muffin (I like that it carries brands that are sometimes hard to find in the states like Maileg). I’m in love with the bunny in the striped pants and I’m guessing he’ll be Beck’s favorite too. That or he’ll just want to stick the entire plastic egg in his mouth.

I’m available for Easter Bunny hire. Also tooth fairy. Santa is special order only.

girl’s basket sources: mini pom pom flower, Maileg mini rabbit, wooden instrument set, Shinzi Katoh lunch box set, crayon rings from Target, rabbit night light, tin Easter eggs, fairies finger printing art set

boy’s basket sources: carrot memory game, Lucas Rabbit cotton doll, mini pinwheels, crayon rings from Target, robot stencil kit, wooden instrument set, Gossie

I love these colorful little treasures! I remember when I used to really care about their easter baskets. Now that they are older, I just usually wrap a few clothes and top it with some jelly beans. But you’ve inspired me, Melanie! I’m going to get together some cute baskets this year if it’s the last thing I do. I especially love the tin easter eggs. Yay!

Who says you have to be a kid to enjoy an Easter basket? My husband and I give each other Easter baskets each year and fill them with Sees candy and other favorite treats.

These are fantastic! Great ideas that aren’t all candy and chocolate. I love the boys one especially and Gossie is one of our favourite books.

“Gossie is a gosling. A small yellow gosling who loves to wear bright red boots….evvvvvvveryyyyyyy dayyyyyy!” It’s important to draw out the “every day” part. Lol!

Thanks for the “not dollar store” basket inspiration. I may step up my game a bit this Easter! And Gossie is always a hit at out house :)
