Have I declared my love for the entire 20×200 shop? Because the entire shop is on my list of gifts I would jump up and down for after receiving. And I don’t know anybody on my list who wouldn’t smile after opening up their very own firework display.
Oh, I almost forgot, the lucky winner of the Jess Smiley digital portrait is #24 – NKP. Email me and I’ll get you and Jess connected.
One of the worst parts of giving cash for Christmas is the recipient can guess what it is in under one second. So would if this year instead of just stuffing some cash in an envelope, you make an oversize check (a roll of paper and some mat board should work) and stick that under the tree? “WHAT is this!? A big chocolate bar? A poster mounted on a piece of cardboard?” Make sure to have a bouquet of balloons and your camera handy when they unwrap it. Woot.
If I wasn’t completely crafted out at the moment, I might consider making this sweetgum wreath. There’s always next year.
I contributed a gift idea list over at Karen’s hilarious blog today. I kind of love everything on it so much that I’m not so secretly hoping anybody who has my name for Christmas will study it in it’s entirety.
Like something you see in this collage? Go get the details buddy.
For those of us who are slightly design challenged, a mere $10 will buy this printable holiday sweater party decor from Melangerie. The only thing you have to add is your guests and some Bill Cosby sweaters.
Oh, and their holiday sweater tote would be a perfect gift filled with books.
I could not not post this. Because babies are my fave. So much so that I find myself wanting to approach strangers in Target to ask if I can hold their babies. This trailer seriously brings on the bottom lip pout.
This is technically still a part of spotted and hearted since I saw it over at Lovely Little Things yesterday.
I kind of think it’s the perfect time of year for a giveaway. Because with all the decorating, shopping, baking and tradition making we have going on, we need to remember to treat ourselves just a tad. And what better way to do that then to win something free and awesome? Today Jess Smiley has offered a digital portrait that you can customize anyway you like. You send him the photo you would like digitized, you tell him how you would like it customized and he sends you the file that you can print out any way you like. I like how this guy rolls. I think I would have mine made with some bunting and a unicorn, just for kicks. Then I would monster size it and hang it over my bed in a slight act of vanity. Because that’s how I roll.
Want to win it for yourself or for a friend (because it would really make a rad gift)? Leave a comment on this post before this Friday. And be sure to check out Jess’s Facebook page to learn more.
The rest of the weekend was spent sitting and admiring it.
Just in case you were curious, the map I bought on ebay and the curtain was actually a shower curtain from Target, cut and velcroed to fit. I’ve actually never been to Australia (but I’m a fan of Curtis Stone and beaches), I just liked the bright colors of the map and I was able to get it on my first bid. Feeling good.
I don’t know why, but this season every time I see a pinecone creation I think, “Wow, you’re so cool!” It’s like all of a sudden they’re this new, novel idea to me. I guess I’m not what you would call a “trend maker”. And there’s an unnecessary use of quotation marks for your Friday.
