Today’s post is from my real life best friend and all around creative gal, Kelly of Cloudy Day Gray.
With a little bit of felt, some yarn, and spray glue you can make a Thanksgiving banner in less time than it takes to watch A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. Here is how you can make your own.
Step one: on a large piece of felt, make an outline of the word “thanks” with chalk.
Step two: cut out the inside of each letter.
Step three: make a one-inch fold at the top of your banner. Glue down the edge – don’t forget to leave space for the yarn to pass through.
Step four: glue down different colors of felt to the back of the banner – I sprayed around the letter cutouts and then placed the colored pieces down.
Step five: take another large piece of red felt and cover the entire back.
Step six: feed some yarn through the opening at the top and hang wherever you want!
And really this could very easily stay up the entire holiday season.
